Many modern pens work with the old Spirograph. The bigger holes in the new Spirograph accommodate almost any pen.
Do gel pens work with Spirograph?
There are also only two colors in the set; a red pen and a blue pen. However, you can simply swap the spirograph pens with your favorite gel pen color once the originals have dried up!

Are there refills for the original Spirograph pens?
Original Spirograph Pens and Spirograph Pen Refills. Your source for official Spirograph® pen cartridges including red, blue, green and black ink. We also have official Spirograph® pens themselves.
