Why is BuzzSaw closed?
Closure. On 17 July 2021, an email to pass holders confirmed that BuzzSaw would be retired after the 31st of August, just shy of 10 years of operation. The park stated that they decided to cease operation of BuzzSaw due to the close proximity of Steel Taipan and the park’s focus on a viable future development.

The Saw ride will be the world’s first horror movie-rollercoaster tie-in, which should, in theory, make it one of the scariest. In many ways, it undermines the scariest scenes of the films – when Jigsaw’s victims first come round and have the nature of their predicament explained to them.
Why did the Dreamworld buzzsaw ride break down?
The writing is on the wall for Dreamworld after yet another rollercoaster malfunction left a group of passengers fearing for their lives. The six terrified thrill-seekers were rescued from Buzzsaw on Monday afternoon after they were left suspended high up in the air for half an hour, facing towards the Gods.
How many days will Dreamworld be closed in 2020?
All Annual Passholders whose passes were valid during the closure period (23 March 2020 to 15 September 2020) will receive an automatic extension of the closure period, plus an extra month. Dreamworld closed for 177 days, so with the addition of a 31-day month, guests will receive 208 bonus days added to their original Annual Pass expiry date.
